Namenalala Island is nestled within the famous Namena Barrier Reef, known for its superb and diverse diving, from sheer wall drop-offs to bommies (sea mounts) there is something for everyone.
Our dive sites are within a 10-20 minute boat trip from the island and, depending upon the tide, the dive site is chosen by your Divemaster to give you both a spectacular and relaxed dive. The barrier reef has both hard and soft corals with the latter in full bloom as the current passes over them.
When sea conditions are correct, snorkelers are invited, as no additional cost, to join divers on the walls.
We do one dive in the morning, departing the island between 9-9.30 returning in time for a sumptuous buffet lunch. The afternoon dive departs around 2-2.30 p.m.
If you wish to do a night shore dive, please bring your own dive flashlight (torch). There is a slight additional charge for night dives.
We do not have an instructor on the island. You must already be a CERTIFIED DIVER and bring your C-Card as proof. We cannot dive you if you have not been previously certified.
Some of our most well-known dive sites are Grand Canyon, Fish Patch, Chimneys, Pirates Den, Neptunes Haunt, Magic Mountain, Tetons, Cascades, Fingertip, The Chunnel.
Diving has no age barrier.

Avid snorkelers will find beautiful coral gardens abutting Namena Islands beaches and shoreline. You will see everything here, in miniature, that you see on the barrier reef . Turtles, rays, giant claims, hard and soft corals and colourful reef fish.
Just off the jetty, we have a giant clam farm (called vasua locally), some more than 40 years old and weighing up to 50 pounds. Their mantles are brightly-hued, in colours ranging from royal blue to violet, green and yellow/browns. We have moved a few into very shallow water which you can see armchair snorkeling sitting on the jetty.
